D-Line, recognized for its award-winning achievements, has embarked on the next phase of its journey under new leadership.
The cable management specialists, headquartered in North Shields, have been acquired by Luceco PLC. Luceco are a Telford based supplier of wiring accessories, EV chargers, LED lighting and portable power products.
In the twenty years since the company was inspired, with the aim to provide trades and consumers with ‘easy to use, look great!’ options to hide cables, the company has become an international, multi-site operation selling a range of innovative products to leading retailers, e-commerce channels and distributors around the world. As of 2024, D-Line’s trunking, cable supports, cable organisers, and floor cable covers are used every day in installations around the world, supplied by leading retail DIY outlets, E-commerce partners, and trade wholesalers in more than twenty countries. In the USA, D-Line has a subsidiary located in Louisville, Kentucky.
Middleton Enterprises are proud to have seen the big potential of D-Line from the start. Jeremy Middleton, said ‘The business had a clear vision to satisfy the gap for new design-led products to sort cables, in a niche that was lacking innovation. We’ve been delighted to support D-Line in building a business we can be proud of. They are truly a North-East success story. We exit now appreciating there is an exciting new journey for D-Line as part of Luceco PLC. We eagerly anticipate how they propel the business into its next stage’.
The business has won three Queens Awards and last year saw cumulative D-Line sales top £100m.
Founder Paul Ruddick commented, ‘D-Line is proud to have developed a trusted brand and market-leading ranges, with a great distribution network. And we have a strong momentum for progress, all made possible by the skills and dedication of our teams, and the support of shareholders. Joining Luceco gives fantastic new opportunities, as we look forward to exploiting the strong synergies between us. This includes focus on delivering further innovation in categories where we have complementary products.’
