Middleton Enterprises has invested £335K in Lifesaver Power (‘Lifesaver’), the sustainability-focused portable phone charging business, as demand for on-the-go power continues to accelerate across festivals, sporting events, live venues, and other high-footfall environments.

Lifesaver tops up mobile phone batteries by dispensing reusable power banks, charged using renewable energy. By ensuring phones stay powered, the service helps people stay connected, safe, and able to make the most of their experiences. For venues, making sure that customers have access to their digital wallets is crucial for supporting their trade.

Lifesaver’s revenue increased 85% year-on-year to June’26, with the business recording more than 55% year-on-year revenue growth over the past three years. The company has also just recorded the biggest week in its history, dispensing approximately 57,000 power banks across its network.

This growth reflects a fundamental change in how consumers use their smartphones. At major events, phones are increasingly used as tickets, payment methods, event apps, maps, cameras, a means of staying connected with friends and getting home. Keeping a phone charged has therefore moved beyond a simple convenience to something consumers and venues increasingly regard as essential.

At Electric Picnic, Ireland’s premier music and arts festival, Lifesaver, in partnership with Three Mobile, dispensed more than 50,000 power banks in just four days, equivalent to one power bank every 6.6 seconds, to an audience of approximately 80,000 people.

Lifesaver has secured the recent investment from Middleton Enterprises, the family office of entrepreneur and investor Jeremy Middleton, co-founder of HomeServe, which was acquired for £4.1bn. The £335K investment will support the expansion of Lifesaver Power’s charging network across the UK, with the business looking to double its number of machines, strengthen its presence in existing venues and expand into new permanent locations and sectors. The company is also developing new products, including a smaller machine designed to open up further opportunities in hospitality and other locations where a more compact solution is appropriate.

Lifesaver is already deployed across some of the UK’s largest live environments, including Wembley Stadium, The O2, Cheltenham Festival, Winter Wonderland, and London Zoo, as well as major festivals and sporting events.

Julian Liban, Investment Manager at Middleton Enterprises, said:

“We have followed Lifesaver since early 2025 and the business has demonstrated fantastic growth in that period. The model is proven and profitable and one that we believe is highly scalable. The market opportunity is extremely large, as we become increasingly reliant on our mobile phones and as venues look to provide solutions. Archie and Steven (co-founders) are ambitious and very hard-working, with a sales charm that could convince you to put a machine in your home!”

Archie Wilkinson, Co-founder and CEO of Lifesaver, said:

“We chose Middleton because we share similar values. They’re in it for the long term and focused on supporting us on the journey. We’ve proven the model, shown that we can deliver, and now we’re scaling it. Our focus is on significantly increasing our presence across the UK, building greater density in venues where we already operate, supporting our existing customers, and expanding into new locations.”To stay up to date on all of Middleton Enterprises investments, follow us on LinkedIn here.
