Despite the continued uncertainty and challenges 2023 has thrown their way, our portfolio companies continue to exhibit outstanding momentum and growth. We are proud to be partnered with these incredible businesses and entrepreneurs, and eagerly anticipate the future ahead. As 2023 comes to an end, here are a some of our portfolio company highlights:

Following the initial investment by Middleton Enterprises earlier in 2023, SushiDog have successfully launched two additional stores, now giving them 6 sites across London. They were also nominated for two awards – the Restaurant 200 Award in the Scalable Concept Award category, and the Peach 20/20 Award for Disrupter brand. A fantastic year for the whole team!

OneGym has expanded its North-East presence by opening two new locations this year. In September, they opened a fresh site in Darlington, marking their ninth establishment, and the fourth since Middleton Enterprises investment. Stay tuned for more OneGym growth updates in 2024!

In April 2023, Alertacall received both the Queen’s Award for Enterprises and the Northern Housing Supplier of the Year Award. The first award recognises outstanding achievements by UK businesses in the categories of innovation, international trade, and sustainable development. The second was won at the Northern Housing Awards, recognising Alertacalls dedication to providing a leading solution to housing associations in order to keep their tenants safe, connected and informed. Massive congratulations to the team!

D-Line reached a significant sales milestone in 2023. £100m total sales since inception. We invested when this was a start-up based in the North East. The company now exports to 200+ countries around the world.

This year Middleton Enterprises welcomed a new Investment Manager to the team, Fergus Dunn. Fergus oversees the implementation of the Growth Capital strategy, focusing on investing in profitable businesses throughout the United Kingdom. Great to have you on the team!
